About the Artwork of Michael "GrayWolf" Ballew
GrayWolf Studio

O'SIYO (welcome) friends... SPIRITS AND COLORS
are two of the main traits that define my art. I seek to celebrate and honor nature and convey its spirit within each piece. I spend a great deal of time listening to nature and learning the lessons it has to teach. As a result, I look for signs and "spirits" in my subjects and allow them to guide me along the way. The end goal – to show ordinary objects in extraordinary ways.

American Indian Artist Certificate of Authenticity

I am an enrolled member of the Echota Cherokee Tribe
and meet the requirements of the Indian Arts and Crafts Act of 1990.  All artwork and crafts will come with an American Indian Artist Certificate of Authenticity if requested.
I am a member of the Indian Arts & Crafts Association.

My Art...

It's a philosophy... It's a passion... It's a desire... It's an appreciation of the past and a connection with the future...

Art is an expression that can break down barriers that otherwise separate.

Art communicates when all else fails.
